Danny Borg has made a mark as one of the most versatile musicians in the New York music scene.  Comfortable in any setting, Danny can be found playing anywhere from jazz clubs, recording studios, and famous stages like Radio City Music Hall. Throughout his career, he has been privileged enough to share the stage and studio with a number of renowned musicians including Jimmy Owens (Max Roach), Kenny Wessel (Steely Dan), James Wideman (Joe Lovano), Peter Calo (Carly Simon), Keith Loftis (A Tribe Called Quest), Carlton Holmes (Cindy Blackman) and Chris Theberge (Groove Collective) and New York Yankee legend and guitarist Bernie Williams.

Born and raised in Queens, NY,  Danny grew up in a musical household hearing everything from The Beatles to Miles Davis.  Attending New York City public schools gave him a strong musical foundation and the opportunity to perform frequently in district concerts and New York City school music festivals.  Completing his undergraduate degree at the New School University exposed him to a community of musicians from around the world.

After working as a musician for a few years and having the opportunity to play and teach music throughout the western hemisphere, Danny was awarded a fellowship to complete his Masters degree at New York University.  While at NYU, he shared the stage with world renowned musicians such as Kenny Werner, Ron McClure, and Ralph Lalama. While completing his degree, Danny was on faculty teaching undergraduate students in private, classroom and ensemble settings.

All of these great experiences have shaped Danny into a versatile musician, educator and composer with the highest level of professionalism and dedication to his craft.  Look for him in a classroom or on stage near you.
